Description:

Plans and executes the processing of assigned auto/casualty claims of moderate to high complexity, investigates claims and exercises discretion and judgment in determining facts, coverages, claim value, negotiating strategy, reserve levels and other considerations in resolving a claim. Prepares timely reports for the claims file. Provides quality service, characterized by timeliness, courtesy, accuracy and efficient processing. Communicates with agency personnel, insureds, claimants and company personnel.   

Requirements:

Bachelor degree and a minimum of two years auto and casualty claims adjusting experience or a minimum of seven years auto/casualty claims adjusting experience.  Must be familiar with policy coverage and good faith claims handling practices.  Ability to prepare detailed scope and evaluation of damages on claims of moderate to high complexity. Texas license.

Commercial Underwriter

The Commercial Underwriter position is with Hochheim Prairie Insurance Company in Yoakum, TX.  They are a small P & C carrier that specializes in rural communities.  They are beginning to write BOP policies and need an Underwriter.  Moving to Yoakum is not necessary.  This can be done online.  Interested applicants can to to the www.hpfm.com website and fill out an application under Careers tab at the bottom of the website.
